Our Story

The Story of Miners Transport

Founded in 1981 by Robbie Miners, Miners Transport has grown from a single truck operation into a successful family-run business. With a deep-rooted history in the transport industry spanning over 40 years, Robbie brought his extensive experience and passion for the industry to establish R L Miners Pty Ltd.

Building a Successful Family Business

In 2020, Robbie recruited his family members into the Miners Transport business. His daughter Kristy manages the accounts, while his son-in-law, Shannon, and wife, Leanne, are amongst some of the most dedicated drivers for the company.

What We Do

Cement Tanker Work
One vehicle dedicated to transporting cement, ensuring timely and safe delivery to construction sites and other destinations.
Bitumen Tanker Work
One vehicle assigned to bitumen transport, vital for road construction and maintenance projects across the region.
Scrap Transfers & Shipping Export Work
One vehicle permanently designated for scrap transfers and shipping, facilitating the efficient movement of recyclable materials.
General Commodities
Three vehicles available for various other commodities, including the cartage of scrap metal, grains, fertilisers, landscaping supplies, and meals. This versatility allows us to cater to a wide range of industries and client needs.

Accreditations and Memberships

Miners Transport is fully accredited with the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) for Mass, Maintenance, and Basic Fatigue Management (BFM), regularly audited to ensure compliance. We are members of the National Road Transport Association (NatRoad) and are EPA approved to transport dangerous goods (DG).
